Thanks to those who offered words of advice to the questions in this morning's post.

This afternoon I began knitting a scarf using some of the new yarn purchased when I took DGD Lily to the yarn shop. It's a Plymouth Yarn Company blend of merino wool, llama, and silk called Taria Tweed in charcoal gray which will go nicely with my gray and my black winter coats. I am not following a pattern but instead am knitting it with a double moss stitch which is easy. I like the way the yarn feels. I am using size 10.5 needles.
Earlier this afternoon I moved a few things around in my family room and I placed photos of my mom and dad near my recliner. My dear mom has been ill for a few days and I wanted to have her photo close by.
The "Family" tile was a Christmas gift handmade by one of John's grandsons (one of the twins) and his wife. We love it and think it is really attractive.
I also re-folded this quilt that has one block to represent each month.
January's block is a snowflake.
Tonight John and I are going to watch this old movie that I recorded on VHS.
When I did, I cut the photo from the TV Guide and taped it to the box.
It's a movie that I really like and I haven't seen it for years. I hope the tape will play!
It stars Susan Lucci (from "All My Children" fame) and David Soul (from "Starsky and Hutch," remember that one?)
TTFN and see you again soon!
Thanks for your visit!

Hi Connie,
I love the look of the yarn you are using. I also love the photos of your parents and the Family tile.
It is cold and rainy here, and we are just lazing around the house. Probably will watch some of Home Land tonight.
Sorry I can't help you with your blog questions.

PS I have made that same Thimbleberries quilt sampler. I keep it up at the cabin and we hang it over the ballustrade.
