Winter Time Comforts

Hi, Friends, welcome, and happy Sunday!

Here is John's stew and let me tell you it was delicious and we both returned to the stove to refill our bowls.  Carrots are my favorite and they were so, so yummy, as was everything else in the stew.  The huge pot was very full and we have lots of leftovers so we plan to have it again tonight.

One of the nights we had a roaring fire going and it was just right.

This poor redbird was sitting out on the deck glider in the heavy sleet and snow of a few days ago.  There were several birds there but they flit around so quickly that I couldn't snap pix fast enough to capture more than one at a time.  If you look under the glider you'll see another one.

Yesterday I did some blog housekeeping.  When I checked the list of blogs I follow I couldn't believe how many there were.  Some of the blogs don't exist anymore and some have ceased to post.  I wanted to remove some of those.  I accidentally removed a few others (by mistake) but I hope I've caught all of them and became a follower again.
(I apologize to anyone to whom this has happened.)
If your blog is one I visit and comment to, and to those of you who visit me, I didn't intend to remove you, so if I did, please let me know so I can correct it. Thanks for your bloggy-friendship.

I'm going to take advantage of this sunny day to get out and do an errand or two.  We are maybe getting some more snow or ice, or both, on Tuesday, I think.  We still have snow on the ground from the last one but the streets are mostly clear now so I have the opportunity to get my car out of the driveway.  Then when I get back home I will enjoy the rest of my Sunday.

'Till next time.
In friendship,
XO XO XO

The stew looks perfect for the kind of weather we are having. More snow is expected tomorrow. I love the cardinals! We have quite a few that eat at the feeders in our yard. My husband has been so good about trudging out in the snow to make sure they are filled, so the birds don't starve.

I love the birds! I can't believe they're out there in the snow. John's stew looks delicious! There is something really wonderful about a man that cooks!

We had the same idea for dinner today! Put it in the crockpot this morning and looking forward to eating it when my hubby gets home with some big crusty loaves of bread! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and have a great rest of your weekend!

(no shoveling) We are starting to get a cloud cover and yes, Tuesday ice/snow...we are going to appreciate the spring!
Your birdie is a reminder it will come :)

The red cardinal is gorgeous. We don't have those here, so I always love to see photos of them. Their color is beautiful against the backdrop of the white snow.

I am trying to clean my blog up too since the scare I had the other day and am trying to cut back on following so many blogs who I don't even know.. smile.
It sure takes time, though, eh?
